Subject: the new CM7000 patch won't run

The new Chessmaster 7000 patch (cm7k106.exe) is now available for download at
www.chessmaster.com but it won't run. I get an error message:

"The cm7k106.exe file is linked to missing export
SHELL32.DLL:SHGetSpecialFolderPathA"

Then when I click OK, it says:

"A device attached to the system is not functioning".

I have the standard CM7000 installation, installed on drive E, an external
parallel port zip drive.  I have Windows 95 installed on hard drive C. I suppose
that is the problem(?).  SHELL32.DLL is in c:\windows\system where apparently
the patch cannot see it.

Yes, I have the CM7000 CD in its drive, which is functioning properly.  And yes,
I have exactly the same setup for CM6000, and applying its patch worked fine.
