Ditto for hardware claims. I see more 'fakery' about hardware than any other single item. Seems to make some feel good to say they have a P5/166 when they really have a PIII/700. This has been going on around the servers for years. And the funny thing is, it is _not_ the program authors that are doing this, it is end users that buy a program, buy the computer, and then claim it is much slower than it really is. I have never understood exactly why. But we have seen _many_ cases. I got tired enough that I (for a while) said crafty was running on a 286/12mhz machine, but enough took me serious that I corrected it. :) Bob
