Limiting factor of the life time of a LCD monitor is the backlight. It has a
mean life time of about 20000 hours. If you work 10 hours every day you need a
new backlight after 5 and a half year. Mostly the backlight can be exchanged.
Many other parts of a computer are sooner out of order.
