I run various engines on ICC from an icon.

For the target of the icon for Averno, I have

I:\Winboard\winboard.exe -zp -ics -icshost chessclub.com -fd i:\winboard\Averno
-fcp AvernoHT24 -icshelper timestamp /sgf F:\desktop\Averno.pgn

You will need to replace the drives and directories with those where your
program is stored. Also note that AvernoHT24 is an .exe file. Make sure the name
you have here is actually the name of the .exe file. Programmers change the
names from version to version. Note that the /sgf part of the above line tells
winboard to save the results in a file called Averno.pgn on my F drive (I have
my desktop on my F drive instead of C in case Windows 98 corrupts itself, that
way everything on my desktop is safe)

I had the same program you had with SOS. Had to play around it some, but finally
got it to work. For target of the SOS icon, i have

I:\Winboard\winboard.exe -zp -ics -icshost chessclub.com -fd i:\winboard\SOS
-fcp SOS -icshelper timestamp

Good luck,

Roger
