Doesn't matter. It only matters that it is a useful training feature that
SHOULD be used, IMO, for improving visualation.

The purpose of my post was to note individual features of a couple of programs
that were substantially unique & different from all others that make them
desirable for chess playing program buyers'. Isn't EOC a very unique feature of
the program? Even on the Rebel page itself, in a remark about a game against
Anand, they say they don't know which chosen move would have been a better
choice for the game. Only that it worked well in that game, and that Anand
claimed 'surprise', over the programs insight into opening play.

But is the Opening book of Fritz/Chess Base unique, (and/or superior), to other
programs? Every time a new Fritz program comes out, ChessBase claims it is a
bigger, more well tuned book for the program. We'll it is certainly bigger!
But better (tuned). - How can anybody tell that?

I would if I had the money, or could get them to play it. (I did get Yuri
Laspshun to play a 25 minute game against Chess System Tall II, at the Marshall
Chess Club, and I probably could get other strong players to play against the
programs, if I was willing to lug my Notebook there alot - but my job there is
too demanding, and I'm not). Anyway, I think this qualifies as another very
unique feature of Rebel (correct me if I'm wrong), and appreciate that Ed
Shroeder's company has sponsored these regular matches against GM's (whether
Anti-GM is on or not). I dream of being a GM, so I could benifit even more:).

Good point - so another positive feature of Fritz5/6.

Your right!, Fritz5/6 has always been a slow start up.

So, what are the best/most interesting or incredible programs, realeased in
1999? I like the price of the Milleniem package, that include Shredder, Genius,
Nimzo, & the endgame CD's. Its a great deal - XCEPT for addicts like me that
have bought every upgrade in the last few years, and suddenly realizes they
haven't paid many bills, & given Mom money. Its time to either make alot more
money, or stop buying all this great stuff:)...

Happy Newmanium, (Seinfeld fans),
