Crafty has to many revisions to be part of an interface, it's just not the nature of the beast. If you're having trouble setting up Crafty just make sure you get hold of _all_ of the text files at the Crafty ftp site, get all 3 opening books, and go to Volker Pittlik & Frank Quisinsky's site and get a download of his file "config.zip" http://www.ginko.de/user/volker.pittlik/schach/winboard.htm and you'll find in it an example of the file "crafty.rc" and also how he set up "winboard.ini" and you should be in like flint. You won't even notice setting up Crafty after a while and you'll learn something while doing it. Also, Crafty lives on many different operating systems, so building it into an interface would be a mind boggling task. Pete
