If you don't have one and wish to join this tournament send me an email and I will help you set one up. Q: Who can play and what are the rules for entering/playing? A: It is be open to all known programs, amateur as well as commercial. More information: * Incase there is a tie for first place a playoff round will be held saturday 12 of February and start at noon server time. * If a program disconnects he is giving reasonable time to connect again (a couple of minutes). If he fails to do this the game will be forfeited for the disconnected program. If a program disconnects more that three times during one game it might get forfeited. * It is unfortunately impossible to guarantee that every program will get exactly four white and four black games. Therefor, no protests about one program getting more black than white games will be taken into consideration. * Only the author (or co-author) or someone pointed out by the author is allowed to participate in this tournament. The author is responsible for the person pointed out. * As for the hardware goes, you are free to use what ever you want. It would be impossible to try to get all participators to use the same computer-power and to make sure that they do. * Only original programs are allowed and ABSOLUTELY NO CLONES. Most programs are pretty well know by the Computer Chess community and therefore if brand new, unknown program appears I will consult other people to decide its entry in the tournament. ICC reserves the right to decline any application for this tourney. ** What programs will play? +------------------------------------------------+ |Program Main Author ICC Handle | +--------------+------------------+--------------+ |Amateur Will Singleton Amateur | | | |Averno José C M Galán | | | |bprchess Brian Richardson | | | |Bringer Gerrit Reubold Bringer | | | |Crafty Robert Hyatt Crafty | | | |Diep Vincent Diepeveen DiepX | | | |EXchess Dan Homan EXchess | | | |Ferret Bruce Morland Ferret | | | |Galahad James Swafford GalahadX | | | |GnuChess Stuart CraCrafty GnuChess | | | |Hossa Steffen A.
