As you described, this works if there is only one possible move to the square, or for the piece clicked. But Heumas is an advanced input help in ChessBase: a small chess program (a sort of mini-nimzo) allow single click input even when there are *more* possibilities. The ply dephth of it is adjustable up to 5 plies. It has a good "hit rate", and if it fails, you can always correct the move in the slow way. I think it was designed to speed up the input of large numbers of games from paper (scoresheets etc.). Regards, M.Scheidl
