Thanks for the info, guys.

For some reason, Mindscape seems to think us Mac players
don't need a strong chess engine, so I guess we stick with HIARCS 7.0 Mac.

Both CM6000 Mac and CM4000 Mac use "The King 2.0".

which says: " The renowned King 2.0 engine powers the program"[CM6000 Mac]

and my CM4000 Mac box says exactly the same thing on the box.

Furthermore, I ran the LCTII test on my Mac with both, and for all
the problems where I could get the same solution PV displayed (21)
all 180+ PV moves were identical, and all 21 scores were identical.

It does seem that CM6000 Mac runs about 2% faster than CM4000 Mac.
