In the 'Makefile' try changing this line
CFLAGS = -Wall -pipe -D_REENTRANT -march=i686 -O -fforce-mem \
-fomit-frame-pointer
to
CFLAGS = -Wall -pipe -D_REENTRANT -mpentium -O -fforce-mem \
-fomit-frame-pointer
