Hello Fernando. I have read your description of Moron very carefully, and come to the conclusion, that you only cloned my program!!! a) Having a book with handful moves, not knowing anything about them and playing them nearly randomly. b) knowing "everything"(nothing) about pawn races, outside passed pawns, and - not forget- king helping pawns. c)searching very deep, but pruning away the good moves (you forgot!) d)trying to avoid the enemy to rochade, and that in late endgame!!! e)writing shit in the hashtables and then never clean it, but use it extensivly. f)searching a lot of ply coming to a position which it does not understand at all and giving him a score (tried it with a random generator, but was slightly not so good, maybe no good random numbers?) ...... but when I think again... maybe my prog also is a clone of the other progs around? and what I never understand, why it wins always against me??? :))) Werner
