There was some interesting discussion about the mental state of US Sports poeple
at the recent Pan Pac Swimming meet in Australia a couple of months ago. The US
team had a we are the best, win means everything mentality. Whereas the team
that should of won the meet if that loser Michael Klim did not break in the
relay has a whole different attitude.

It derives from how the kids in the US are treated at school with competitions,
everything is about results, it has turned into a result based for rankings
system. Also money driven, make the biggest name, and get the most money.

Put some of those multi million dollar gridiron players in a Rugby league or
Rugby Union matches, and their life would most likely be over at the end of the
match. Its funny how our best may get 500,000 US dollors and then go on to hear
a gridiron player say they could never play our game cause it looks to tough,
and the US player gets 5 million plus a year.

The point is players need competition to stroke egos and make money, whether the
best win or lose, all that matters is winning and losing. So really any other
logic involved goes out the window.

The point is we Aussies for the amount of people in our country, compared to the
US and most other big sporting nations, rules the world per capita !!!!!

1999 World Champions in

Cricket World Cup Champions
Rugby League
Rubgy Union
Womens Netball
Womens Hockey
Davis Cup Tennis
Leading Womens Golf Player - Carrie Web
Swimming - Broke most world reconds, mainly Mickael Klim, Ian (thropedo) Thorpe

There were others which I cannot recall, to many to list. But this has been a
damn fine sporting year, So using my method we Aussie rank number 1 in sporting
achievements in the world !!!!!!!!!

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, oi, oi, oi
