I suppose it depends on why the intended (based on the CM6000 Mac documentation) inclusion of the 2.61 engine didn't happen. If it was the fault of the company doing the port, then their contract might not yet be complete. I understand the CM6000 Mac production manager is on vacation this week, but I hope to hear from him next week. Richard A. Fowell (fowell@netcom.com) P.S.: The stuff that is there in CM6000 Mac seems to work fine. Lots of minor improvements since CM4000 Mac (decent 2D set, more explicit PGN support) plus the flashy multimedia annotation. The "rated play" feature that adjusts to your skill level is great, too. It is nice to see an update for the Mac, and I hope it does well. Despite my massive disappointment (and that of others) about the lack of a current engine. P.P.S. It would be a great thing if we could produce our own multimedia annotation - since the engine produces it's own, it seems quite possible. That would open the door to third party "chess books" that required CM6000 to run (nice thing for Mindscape), like the SmartChess and Chess Mentor modules. P.P.P.S: Again, if they do find bugs, "ResCompare" is a great Mac utility for distributing patches, that does not seem to be well known.
