Those are endgame tablebase files, Crafty and many other program can use those,
they help the programs to play a better endgame, something similar to opneing
books (more or less) but at the other end of the game.

If you locate them in a subdirectory called TB as in "c:\crafty\tb" then Crafty
will see them and use them.

Ther's info in the Crafty doc file about using them.
