I never noticed that happening, when ever I run Winboard matches I run them with Winboard's "show thinking" turned off, it might be related to that. That appears to be a measage from GNUchess not Comet (only guessing actually). Was that with the new GNUchess? That program still has allot of sand in it's eyes, it plays some good games though. Pete
