And for all we know e4 could be a losing move, considering that there are a finite number (a very large one, but finite none-the-less) of possible games, and therefore with correct play white may always lose, or always win, or maybe always draw with correct play from both sides. And secondly I don't think GOD would play himself at chess. On a more serious note, if you are trying to say that e4 is a way to quickly beat someone much worse than you, and d4 is a good opening to use against someone of equal strenght, than I can say that that holds some truth. e4 leads to open, tactical games (usually) and whenever I play e4 against a good program I usually last not nearly as long as when I play d4 - which earns me many more draws than losses with e4. Anyway, I was bored so I thought I'd write that. Happy new year. PS: It's not a new millenium, or even a new century - but it's got to be a new decade - right? So good luck for everyone in the 00's.
