Subject: Y2k not overblown (off subject, please excuse)

I dont think the Y2K "thing" was over blown. Atleast not here in the USA. In my
opinion, you have to have tragedy to get action. Well, to get action in the same
direction that is. In order to get as many agencies, people, companies on board
with "patching" the Y2K bug, a unified (almost) call to arms had to be made.
We will never really know what the consequences would of been without the
hysteria but I can safely say this. If we hadnt had it, then we would of been
closer to finding out how bad it could of been.
This from an airline employee who knows how bad our FAA computer system really
is... ahh WAS !!
P.S. As if you cant tell, the bubblie has my face flush and my opinion bold.
Have a safe and fun new year.
