I was a child during the Cold War of the 1950's, and during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962, when the world came just-that-close to a shootin' war between nuclear powers USSR and USA. People were building radioactive-fallout shelters in their yards. I grew up listening to people say that there would be a thermonuclear war that would destroy every living on earth, that the human race would not survive until the year 2000. It is now seconds before midnight December 31, 1999, here in the world's most beautiful city, Vancouver, Canada. ...7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 !!! HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE ! HAPPY, HAPPY, NEW YEAR !!!!!
