To rate chess computer software as a "Grandmaster", I suggest 30 minimum games at minimum time control of 40/2 against human Grandmaster opponents (at least 3, average elo rating at least 2550+) under valid open tournament conditions (not staged matches), scoring at least 55% overall. It wouldn't be easy to set-up or achieve, but that would make it worth something. --JRM
