Does anyone know where to find a copy of the WAC suite with correct answers, as far as anyone knows? I think there might be some equally good moves to some of the listed ones in the copy i've got. Failing that would anyone like to take a quick look at these ones and comment? Thanks. 8/p3k1p1/4r3/2ppNpp1/PP1P4/2P3KP/5P2/8 b - bm Rxe5; id "WAC087" Desperado likes cxb4; cxb4 Rxe5 . I think this just transposes and should be equally good? 1br2rk1/1pqb1ppp/p3pn2/8/1P6/P1N1PN1P/1B3PP1/1QRR2K1 w - bm Ne4; id "WAC152" Desperado agrees at 7 ply but prefers Nd5 at other depths. Both of these score around +2 pawns. Does Ne4 have some additional tactics that don't work for Nd5? (I must put check extensions back in sometime :-) 8/1p6/p5R1/k7/Prpp4/K7/1NP5/8 w - bm Rb6; id "WAC274" Desperado prefers Rg5+ (except at 9 ply). It looks to me like either move wins, and i can't see any reason why one is better than the other in practical terms. Rb6 is a bit flashier maybe, but once you see through the first 3 or 4 moves of tactics doesn't it leave you with a slightly harder endgame than Rg5+ ? (Although still quite easy to win.)
