The reason is very simple.

Rebel plays weaker with the autoplayer so results of rebel with the autoplayer
casnnot be trusted.

Tiger has not the same problem.

He did not claim that the ssdf cheated.
It is a fact that they allowed fritz certain advanatges in the past by giving
them the option to use a secret autoplayer for fritz.

Ed never said that this autoplayer is cheating but it is unfair if they can test
their programs against other program and the opponents cannot test their program
against fritz(except testing manually) because the opponents have not the
autoplayer.

Forunately the autoplayer of chessbase is public now so this is not the problem
now.
