The match Junior 6 - Shredder 4 is the first being played in my tournament. So far, J6 wins 5.5-4.5. Each program will play the others with auto232 in 20 game matches at 40 moves in 40 minutes on 2 PIII-500 with 256 MB RAM each. In alphabetic order these are the programs that will play: Fritz 6 Hiarcs 7.32 Junior 6 Nimzo 7.32 Rebel Tiger Shredder 4 If Ed manages to solve in time the problems of Rebel with the auto232 driver, Century will play too. The version of Fritz that will play is 6.68, the latest and, according to Matthias Wüllenweber, the engine that most probably will be released in a patch for Fritz 6 in less than 2 weeks. Since these are the strongest engines capable of autoplaying, I decided to give this tournament the name of Cadaqués (pronounced Cadakes), the very beautiful town were it is being played. After all, this is what they do with Linares, isn't it? And what does the tournament of Linares have that mine doesn't? :) Enrique
