Ed can reply himself, but as I am here reading your post, I would like to point
out that Ed has always shown the greatest respect for the SSDF list.

I think Ed has always had a very positive opinion of the SSDF list. You can dig
into the archives of every forum, you'll never find any critisism from Ed
against the SSDF list.

The only problem, and that is the reason why Rebel is not tested by the SSDF
anymore, is that the Auto232 DOS driver hurts Rebel playing strength. It
overwrites random chunks of memory, which often leads to crashes or to unnoticed
weakening of the play.

The fact that Tiger now tops the SSDF has nothing to do with it.

Rebel always does very well when it is played manually (if you have followed the
recent tournaments you should know that), but has problem when playing
automatically thru the Auto232 driver.

I remember that because of this, Ed has asked the SSDF guys to test Rebel
manually, and not thru Auto232. So they could test Rebel, but nowadays it is too
much work and that's why it won't be on the next lists.

This has been clearly said since a while, I regret that some people are still
ignoring this.
