Fascinating, even if and maybe especially because most of the material is a bit out of reach for me. Thanks for the link! By the way, CCC seems to be running a lot faster today! I can tell, even on a prehistoric 386. Wasn't this processor already 32 bits? Only now with IA-64 there will be a real successor for this architecture. But I've read that maybe Merced will not be such a big breaktrough and that it is more of a testbed for 64 bits technology. We'll see... Regards, Eelco
