See my previous post.

Crafty downloads fast to my machine, Wcrafty17_x
is a little over 500K (not very large). Book.bin
and Books.bin are required if you want a book (you
can download or build). Thats it! You will not
have a graphical user interface (GUI), but a text one
is included. If you want to set hash tables, then
type hashp=12M and hashp=4M (this is what I use), at
the command line. Read the help doc for more info,
or type help at the command line. :)

If you want a GUI, download winboard and install.
Follow instructions (very simple, just a couple of
steps).

Or see my earlier post, note multiple programs may not
run out of the same winboard directory at the same time
(ok, some can and some can't, I have never tried any but Crafty).

Winboard comes with GNU, so Crafty is not required if you just
download Winboard. However, most of the free programs are fun,
many run with winboard. I like Crafty my self. :)

Bringer sounds good, I have never played it. I do not know
anything about it. :)

Best Regards,
Chris Carson
