You forgot to mention that the two colors I chose for the board are taken from
the 216 color palette which is not supposed to dither on both PCs and Macs
running at 256 colors. :)

Otherwise, I might have chosen a lighter "buff" color. For years I've been
adjusting my chess programs to approximate the popular standard green and buff
vinyl board. I did ask around for opinions as far as which green color to
choose. Since I was limited by that 216 color palette, it was not hard to
choose though. Anything darker was too dark, and anything lighter was too
bright.

I can't remember who first suggested the whole idea of putting in the diagram
capability. It may have been Bruce Moreland, but it was months ago and only now
did I have time to implement it.

It's so hard to come up with anything original. I'm sure I've seen this done in
a book or magazine somewhere. Yes, they should be smaller.

I'll talk about the font in another message.

Yes, from the beginning I wanted to support all broswers, and not crash any by
using a client side scripting language.

Eek! That might be a little too bizarre.

Thanks! :)
