Frank,
This tournament is called the National Computer Chess Championship and is run
yearly at the Australian National University (ANU) as part of the ANU Chess
Festival. I dont know how many years it has been running but i think since at
least 1995.
The director of play for this event is Shaun Press. You can email him at
Shaun.Press@cs.anu.edu.au. Or you could try the festival director Andrew
Greenwood at Andrew.A.Greenwood@student.anu.edu.au.

Also you might find more info about it at
http://cs.anu.edu.au/~Shaun.Press/anuchess.html

Hope this is of some help.

Regards,
	Bill
