"Best" is too subjective, and you don't really specify "best" at what. But
"fastest", there's only a marginal difference I'm sure.

I think that the thing that you need to be thinking of is which interface that
_you'll_ get the most use out of, because while the Chessbase interfaces are
very heavilly used and are usually taken more seriously, there's also a large
following for programs like Chessmaster 6000, partly because you can find a copy
of it at the dime store, and partly because they _have_ made some good programs,
but the more serious you are paticularly about playing between other programs,
the more you'll be looking at Chessbase programs like Fritz & Hiarcs, etc., but
CM6000 _might_ actually suit you better.

$60 covers most of the good programs, so if one you have costs $20 more than
another one, ignore the $20 extra cost, because that's a very small amount of
difference and you can waste that amount of cash right down the drain several
times a year, you won't notice having spent a little bit more on the Chess
program a year from now, but you will notice it if you end up with the wrong
program for you.
