Thank you very much for your answer, but since no one else has answered
anything-I would like to ask for clarification-from you or anyone.
By "hard to say" do you mean its hard to say if athlon at 500mhz. is not
definately atleast as fast as k6-3 for all programs?Or maybe not even that?!
And why would you not be surprised if k6 is sometimes faster than Athlon?
I mean-isn't Athlon a much more advanced chip to k6?
And if it makes things any easier, since many more people have k6-2, should
athlon
500mhz always be not slower for chess than k6-2 450?
I personally want to change my k6-3 400mhz for Athlon 550mhz. for
reasons besides chess. But I want to be completely sure, that it is also
atleast a clear speed increase for all chess programs-even if only slight.
