I think he referred to the sentence "[Shredder] achieved the title mainly by
playing the endgame better than its competitors." While this sentence contains
not a direct attack vs Shredder, it certainly sounds like "If it wouldn't be for
the good endgame, Shredder would be beaten by the other programs."

Or a similar sentence for an other engine would be: "Tiger scores so good
because of his opening book" :-))
