i think crafty is on par with the chessbase engines .i was doing an experiment with lg2000a where i was playing a bunch of games to see 1.the effect it would have on the size of lg2000 learning files + iwas hoping that if i played a bunch of games it might help it compete vs crafty ,fritz , hiarcs on icc .so i played 240 4 min games between them .to my surprise fritz6 was 1st then (crafty 16.6)3rd was fritz 5.32 then hiarcs then lg2000a .im surprised they put crafty in with hiarcs ,because they are so close .at faster time controls crafty scores about even ,have not ran enough slow games yet .
