This is part of a chess festival that also has school team tournaments, an open Weekender, and a Simul. There are plans to continue the events on an annual basis, in July. I have heard rumours of an earlier Australian Computer Chess Championships in approx 1995 in Melbourne, and one in the 1980s probably in Sydney, but i have not heard any details, not even who won. (In addition Melbourne, Australia, hosted the World CCC won by Cray Blitz. I think it was 1986.) I have the games played by Desperado 1998 and 1999. I will dig out the 1999 games and mail them to Frank, probably within a week. The other games, i don't have. Frank, could you put the 1998 games on a website or something? I'd like to have them.
