Hi Pavel,

attention there are two different executebales! Please read the text
"english.txt". You will find:

" delivered files:
   ----------------
COMET32.EXE - the chess program (DOS)
   COMET-WB.EXE - executable for winboard
...
Optionally, the program can be forced to use only parts of the
available memory for the transposition table. This is accomplished
by defining the environment variable MAXHASH prior to start of the
   program. For instance, the definition
       SET MAXHASH=3
makes sure, that a table < 3 MB will be used. If you want to keep
this reduction permantly, it is suggested to include the above
   statement in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

THE ABOVE OPTION COULD BE VERY USEFUL IF YOU OPERATE COMET
   UNDER MS-WINDOWS !
...
5. WINBOARD
-----------
Comet also supports the interface WINBOARD, which is being developed by
Tim Mann. Please start the corresponding WIN-32 console program
"Comet-wb.exe" without parameters. By default, i.e. without the below
mentioned init-file, this program plays in the following configuration:

MAX_HASH: 12 (size of hash table in MB)
PONDER: ON (also use opponent's time ?)
SELECTIVITY: ON (selective play on or off)
BOOK: ON (use of book ON or OFF)
RESIGN: ON (resign option ON or OFF)
TB_PATH: c:\tb (path to table base files)
TB_CACHE: 4 (size of table base cache in MB)

These configuration entries can be changed in the initialization
file COMET.ICS using a standard editor. (Use capital letters for the
   keywords ON and OFF.)
