this doesn't work, in the real world.  Too many use PPP connections to an ISP,
which dynamically assigns them an IP number when they connect.  Each time they
connect they get one of a pool of IP addresses, which would let them create
their own fan club here.  :)

You can't use the class C part of the address either, as some machines support
many simultaneous users, and using class C would mean 1 user per server, which
would not be so hot either.
