Subject: Hsu and Kasparov should join forces and produce "Deep Kasparov"

Instead of Hsu and Kasparov sparring against each other, perhaps they should
join forces. I think they could both make TONS of money.

Hsu needs cash to build a dumbed down Deep Blue that could be brought to the
public. Kasparov has plenty of cash to finance the effort. This Deep Blue
wouldn't be just any Deep Blue, it would a Deep Blue tuned with the aid of
Kasparov's considerable chess knowledge.

Outsearching everything that has ever existed, including Kasparov himself, and
playing with the consistency of a computer, the play of such a machine could be
made indistinguishable from that of the world champion, with any errors of play
removed. Such a machine would basically immortalize the world champion. It would
not actually *BE* Kasparov, but more like "Kasparov squared."

If Kasparov lost to the machine, that would nothing to be ashamed of. Instead,
it would be expected that Kasparov would lose to Deep Kasparov, just like
Fischer would look to Fischer Squared, and so on. Applying the champion's
knowledge deeper and more consistently in the chess tree than anything before
it, there would even be little doubt that it could defeat Deep Blue, since it
would be tuned with the world champion's chess knowlege.

Effectively, Kasparov would be immortalized in silicon, just like David was
immortalized in marble by Michelangelo. Unlike any static work of art, however,
Kasparov's chess would be alive FOREVER, a hundred years from now, and on into
eternity. His chess would be IMMORTAL.

The machines might even be calibrated to play at the strength of Kasparov
himself. No more arguments about whether some future champion could have
defeated Kasparov the way we argue whether Kasparov could have defeated Fischer.
Just fire up one of the Deep Kasparov machines and play.

I can't imagine anything that a chess player would want more.
