In the above tirade you make it sound like i >just began a campaign to randomly insult people! Is it at all possible that >some of the ugly remarks made in the above were provoked? This is exactly what >I am talking about, in this forum someone is insulted, when the victim decides >to "fight back", then ironically the victim is made out to be the bad guy. You said that you could take a Pentium 233, and running Fritz or CM you could "clean up" all of the crafties on ICC, except for Bob's. James Robertson asked you: "Is it just your nature or do you deliberately try to post inflammatory statements?" Not particularly pleasant and agreeable, but you didn't need to tell him he had his head up Bob's ass. Bob replied to your post about the 233 thing. He said that, "There is enough that you don't understand to write a _book_." Not particularly pleasant, but there is a perfect example of a provoked statement. You didn't need to reply to Bob, telling him that he was a racist asshole and that you were surprised he was allowed to teach. Hardly a measured reply. >Which is ass-backwards, Especially since we all know it is simply human nature >to fight back when attacked, our natural response is to react when injured. If >the moderators did their job to begin with, and deleted any post of an offensive >or vulgar nature (regardless of who it is) then it would be unneccesary to >respond in this way. You said yourself that you argued for my suspension being I think I would delete anything where someone said someone's head was up anyone's ass, or anything that called someone a racist asshole. Doesn't this seem logical to you? >a month instead of three, because you thought i might have been picked on?? I >wonder what gave you that impression?? Could it be my rather innocent article >about Chess programmers who refuse to make the programs available to the >public?? By the way I read my article to over fifteen people who are not part >of this forum not one person found anything insulting or offensive in my >article. What the consensus was from these people was that I was dealing with a >bunch of nuts, based on some of the responses here I would have to agree. You do >seem overly zealous to boot me out the group when I respond to a insult, I wish >you would prosecute with equal Zeal those who would use derrogatory remarks >against me. Until you do this the only thing I will learn is just how >hypocritical this place is. I went through your deleted posts for the months of October and November. It is truly awful, and I forgave you all of it because I hadn't been watching you carefully and I thought that you might have been provoked. After having looked at it, I was a fool to not argue to ban you instantly. I let you get away with using the most vulgar language anyone has used here. I found it hard to believe myself, but I had it all detailed here in case anyone might believe that you actually have been persecuted, but then I worried that some kid might see it and didn't want to be responsible for that. bruce
