The games of round six are up. Enrique writes: "That Fritz played well and open
and bright was the anecdote. But what a punch… No matter how good a program may
be in other areas, if it is relatively slow in tactics there is no way it will
survive fast finders, and this Fritz is the fastest of all. Game 9 is a good
example: Rebel Century took 2 minutes and 18 seconds to blunder the game away
with 23… Bxa2, grabbing that miserable pawn; in a fraction of a second, Fritz
announced mate in 8. It is not that Fritz played such great chess, but how could
Rebel stand these blows?" Here's the game:
