Waste of time? ... Not for me. I'm really enjoying these series of games
vs strong humans at tournament time controls whether it comes from the GM
challenge or avid chess who organize events like the Russek - Century series of
games. Comp vs comp, while fun for me also, pales in comparison. The Human -
Computer events (40/2 time controls) are too rare to pass off as a waste of
time.

These "stronger programs",as you call them, need to have their people actively
seek similar matches or tournaments. They would also be fun to watch and no
doubt, come under heavy scrutiny. Some are doing this.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming series
of games from Israel that will include versions of Junior, Fritz and Rebel.
