Subject: Chess Tal 2.03 - CENTURY (Anti GM Smart, EOC Strong) 3-5

Hi,

Lucky enough I can play my computer chess games while I work. :-)
One of my test matches is over, and I can inform you about it:

Chess Tal 2.03 - CENTURY (Anti GM Smart, EOC Strong) 3-5

200MMX, 20Mb for Century, 40/40, PB off, one PC, CPU usage tested by Wintop.

Comment: Looking at games while playing did not show that CENTURY is any much
stronger. And this was a small, but surprise. Chess Tal got a couple of good
wins by its play, not by some bad Century book lines. In fact, even the opposite
is true - in the second of won games Chess Tal came out of book at bad position,
more then -1, but made a nice positional pawn sacrifice and won this game. Looks
like Chess Tal really needs even longer tournament time controls, like 40/120,
to show its real strength. Good games by good programs!

Note: games played just to satisfy my curiosity. :-)
