If you want to take a screen-shot from chess program (like Fritz) and convert
that into Windows Desktop Wallpaper (I am sorry if I read you wrong) then I'd
recommend:

LView Pro   http://www.lview.com
This is Shareware you should pay for, the penalty for not paying is a 20sec wait
to start the program.

In LView you simply Paste the "print Screen" image;  Enhance, recolour, resize
etc, & save as Bitmap to use as Wallpaper.

Christina's hint of the Day:  Rename any.bmp to any.ico & it's an icon!  (works
best for bitmaps of 32x32 pixels).  My Rebel Icon is a bit of a CM6k screenshot.

Yep,
I've got In a Gadda Da Vida stuck in my head from RGCC,
That's cool it replaced "some girls do, some girls don't..." & that was hurting
bad.
