Joern Gronemann is running a very interesting 40/120 tournament which can be followed on the CSS web site, next to Enrique's CadaquƩs tornoi. http://www.computerschach.de/tourn/ Joern writes: My tournament is being played on two computers: AMD K6-2/400 and Celeron 400, each equipped with 128 MB RAM. I allocate as much RAM as possible for the hash tables - between 80 and 100 MB, depending on when hard disk activity begins. I'm playing the computers in tournament mode, 40 moves in two hours, 20 in the next hour and 30 minutes for the rest of the game. All programs are left in their default settings. Programs that do not have their own openings books will play with my correspondence chess book. I am not using tablebases. The tournament will last seven rounds and will be played according to the Swiss pairing system. The following programs are participating: Shredder 4, Fritz 6, Fritz 5.32, Junior 6, Hiarcs 7.32, Nimzo 7.32, Nimzo 2000, Genius 6.5, Genius 6, Chess System Tal 2 (Windows version), Crafty 17.04, Zarkov 5.0 (Genus 6 engine) Wchess2000 (Genius 6 engine) Little Goliath V2 (Fritz engine), Comet B11 (Fritz engine), Der Bringer 1.5
