And the second the simple human running race.....Both are well and truely going ahead!! Nobody can stop computers coming right into this!!As we learnt that such a race by a human against a motorbike won't be that interesting, we have organized bikes to be used by humans to compete..the skill of driving or riding has to be equally supported by a good make of the bike! Same will apply to the computers once there is no doubt in everyones mind that humans are nowhere near them. The day will come!!!Top players would like to prolong this as much as possible!! When they accept the challenge and start playing tournaments against computers, the programmes will evolve better....and better.....until the stage comes that the result of a Fritz Vs Kasporov or Hiarcs Vs Anand game will be quite obvious......Then there will be two different types of tournaments. One humans only and the other in various capacities using computers as tools... All these are going to improve the programmes. I have always said this. GM Fritz and GM Hiarcs and all their ancesstors (They never die like humans and if at all they do there are ways of waking them up!) are waiting to play with me without food and water for a life time fee of under$100. What more do I want? >Maybe more players should take a stand like Kasparov >regarding the "Frankfurt Giants". > >Machine V Machine events attract a lot of interest, but please >let's keep them separate..
