I think that many chess players believe that deep thought was a weak program and
he has more chance to find investors in deep blue if he proves that it is not
weak.

They know nothing about cray blitz because it is not a commercial program so
they are not impressed by the fact that deep thought won cray blitz but they
know that Deep blue lost against Fritz3(they also think it is the same program
that played the first match against kasparov(except hardware)).

I understood it is not the case because the hardware of deep thought could not
detect repetitions but most of the chess players do not know it.

He should first prove that his old deep thought can get >90% at tournament time
control agianst fritz3(p90) or that it can get at least 50% against the top
programs of today and after it I believe that he has more chances to find
sponsors for deep blue chip from the chessplayers(based on the assumption they
get part of the money if he get money from playing against kasparov or from
selling his deep blue chip).
