Hmmm, posibly another reason that I shouldn't upgrade to 98?  I did my original
install of Extreme in Windows for Workgroups, I did a full install.  Now
whenever I use it I do it from Windows 95 (allthough I might have had to copy
several dll files into Win95 to do that, I don't really remember).

It sounds like they've changed the Extreme package since I bought it since it
didn't used to come with Fritz4 eng, only Extreme3 & 4 eng.

For what it may or may not be worth, I run Extreme from C:\EXTREME\XTREME.EXE
 and not from C:\EXTREME\LAUNCH5.EXE because it sidesteps some advertising, so
posibly try running it from XTREME.EXE on your seedy rom and see if that'll get
it to run at least from the CD.
