Hey! There's an idea. People always want to know how to dumb down chess programs. Just allocate about twice physical ram in hash. Of course, when the system wants memory to redraw a screen or something, there may be a few little "quirks" but at least it will make the programs a heck of a lot dumber. Conversely, we might allocate a *single* hash entry. Either method ought to dumb the program down just a touch. ;-)
