This sounds strange to me. I went to Yahoo once, because some of my non-tournament-chess buddies encouraged me. I played 5 games, rolled a few people, wound up at 2565 after 5 games, and dismissed it as patzerville. :) I kind of doubt that the red players I was playing were using a computer, becuase then my kingside attacks might have met with some serious resistance. (As I recall, it was fairly buttereqsue. <grin>) I did challenge someone with a 16000 rating before I left, but they declined. I assume they just created a ton of accounts, and played themself over and over again to get a really high rating. Dave
