Don't know about magic number 2900 elo, but my impression is that hardware those
days is more important that all the improvement un the chess logics. It could be
even (something that you probably want to say) that if the logic of Deep Blue
will be run on slow machine (take old 286) it could appear as humble as our old
Sargon.

I do expect that all the games will start naking 1000000 nodes per second in the
next two years. Then every game will be, at least, 2200 to start with.
