On these results it looks like quite a few of the programs are playing at solid IM level. Some of the best on fast hardware are perhaps GM strength, but there are not yet enough games to be sure. Given that most strong players now own and frequently use at least one chess program, there can't be much shock factor any more. These programs would probably maintain their rating (averaged over all of them) even if they played a lot more games with no changes except the occasional book update. The GM chess program running on a standard PC is not far away, and may even be here already.
