Hello Dragos,
I'm not 100% sure but I believe it is possible to mix the ram.  I believe you
can use ECC ram in the Non-ECC mode.  That is if you set up the motherboard for
Non-ECC RAM the ECC RAM will work as Non-ECC RAM.  Maybe someone else can tell
you for sure because I have never done this.
