All opinions are >welcome. :) These games were played all over the world, but the DT hardware always stayed at home. The operator at the match had some sort of communications link back to DT. Comms links in those days were more expensive and less reliable than now. Comms had to be done while the clock was ticking. No problem at 40/120, but at G/30 almost any communication lag meant a lost game, or if the opponent lasted to about move 100, DT would probably lose on time anyway.
